About ...
Hi! My name is Capt. Josh Beaman and I was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Being a native to this area I have over 25 years of fishing the back-country and mosquito lagoon. Fishing started early for me, as the Intracoastal was my front yard. Everyday was a new adventure, and fishing and exploring turned into a passion right off the get-go.
I am a USCG liscenced and insured guide and ready to share my experience with you, whether it's sight-fishing for redfish and trout on the lagoon or wrestling snook out of the mangroves, I want your trip to be one to remember.
The Boat ...
I guide out of a 17 ft. SCOUT, with a 90 hp. fourstroke Yamaha. This boat is very stable and is able to handle chop when the weather turns bad. It also provides lots of storage space to keep gear, tackle, and rods, safe and dry. Two large baitwells in the aft deck keep baits alive all day. A large casting deck and wide gunwales perfect for chasing fish around the boat, and of course Yamaha power and reliability. I chose this set-up because I fish a lot in the dark, nightime docklight fishing and around the bridges, and the stability of this rig makes you confident in your footing while fighting big fish.
